It was very early in my life that I found a fondness for plants and animals. Much of my time was spent outdoors, it is there where I found refuge and adventure.

I  often try and create from memories of time that I spent in the water or in nature as a child.  My imagination tends to go back to a time when creatures of nature held such a great mystery and yet a peaceful simplicity.

In sharing the beauty I find in fish and nature through my art I am hoping to create in the viewer a new found appreciation for the creature they are viewing.  I believe once someone appreciates a creature they can empathize with the struggles and challenges they may face in their quest for survival.  Once someone can empathize it is a natural instinct to protect , thus creating a conservationist through art.
